Whole-House Exam

Our mold inspection starts with a full visual evaluation of the property. Our technician will search for any visible mold growth and for conditions conducive to the growth of mold. A mold inspection may be a good investment if you have an unexplained illness or can smell mold in your house.

Mold testing, also known as mold sampling, is the process of collecting air and surface samples to check the extent and type of mold. Mold testing can help identify a mold infestation in your home.

Types of Testing to Fit Your Needs

Air Quality Testing

Air sampling tests the concentration of mold spores in your home's air.  Samples are taken from the air and are then sent to the lab for examination under a microscope.

Air tests help to determine if you have a mold problem even if you cannot find the mold growth.

Mold Swabs /Surface Samples

Surface testing takes samples from household surfaces to find the amount of mold growth and spores deposited around the home. Samples are collected by swabbing.  The sample is then examined in a laboratory.

ERMI Mold Test

ERMI was developed by the Environmental Protection Agency to revolutionize and standardize mold testing in the United States. It uses CSI-like DNA analysis to detect mold unlike any previous test. DNA mold analysis is 99.99% accurate.

Indoor Air Quality (Particle) Testing

ZeroMold uses IAQ Analytics, which is a patented system designed to report on particulates in the air.

ZeroMold’s technicians will take several particle count readings within your structure, which are then referenced to an International Standards Organization (ISO).

Inspection Tools & Equipment

The ZeroMold technician uses all the latest tools and equipment to find and locate the source of your mold problem.

Moisture meters, infrared cameras and borescopes are just a few of the tools we use to track down and identify the source of your problem.

Three Step Inspection of your Home

Step 1- Mold Inspection

ZeroMold will search for any visible mold growth and for conditions conducive to the growth of mold. We will then determine what samples need to be taken (swab, tape, air).

Samples will be gathered from areas to determine IF mold is present and what TYPES of mold are at the property.

Step 2- Laboratory Testing

Once the samples are collected, they are taken to a 3rd party qualified laboratory for testing.

Once the lab tests are completed, our technician will meet with you to explain the the types and amounts of mold found in the property.

Step 3- Mold protocol

ZeroMold will recommend a mold treatment plan that includes the scope of work, timeline, and estimated cost.

Mold remediation protocols are written when areas have been identified as containing an unacceptable amount or type of mold.

Is Mold Making You Sick?

What Are The Health Effects Of Mold?

Mold has the potential to cause serious health issues in people who are sensitive to mold spores. The presence of mold can be harmful to anyone but is especially dangerous for children and seniors because their immune systems tend to be weaker than adults.

Mold (especially Black Mold) can be extremely dangerous. Research has linked mold exposure to allergies, neurological deficits, upper respiratory tract diseases, coughing, and in severe cases - death.

What Causes Mold?

Mold grows because there is moisture present in the air. This moisture can come from a water leak or excessive humidity in your home.

Once mold has started in your house, it can be very dangerous to live there. This is why it’s so important to have the mold removed as soon as it is detected.

What Can You Do To Stop Mold?

The best way to prevent mold is to ensure that your home is free of excess moisture. Make sure that every area of your home is properly ventilated. Check for areas of your home that tend to collect moisture and fix them immediately.

If there is a leak in your home, you need to find it and make the necessary repairs. If there is excessive humidity in your home, you want to eliminate it.
